This Just In - Flint is a Hit

One of the great things about the kitchen and bath industry is being introduced to products as soon as they are released ... sometimes even before.  Posts in this blog labeled "This Just In" will be featuring such products so you'll be hearing about them as soon as we do!

Vetrazzo is a surfacing material made from concrete and recylced glass.  We were introduced to it a little better than a year ago, and liked it so much we included it in one of our showroom displays.  Fast forward to today when our local rep from Vetrazzo came in with these little gems ...

These are the new "Flint Series" of Vetrazzo.  They focus on the greys and taupes that are becoming uite popular now.  The sample with the blue glass in it is another new colour called "Floating Blue", so called because it uses tinted glass reclaimed from apartment buildings.

The Village - Balliliscious

Believe it or not, Paradigm Kitchens is not the only reason to come to the Cambie Village.  We've been lucky enough to have had our showroom in this vibrant neighbourhood for quite a while now, and it's allowed us to explore some of the best shops and restaurants this city has to offer.  So we thought we'd take the time to share some of this "research" with you in the for a The Village

Posts labelled The Village in our blog will introduce you to some of the best that Cambie Street has to offer.  First off, a restaurant called Balliliscious (formerly Saté Satu).  Recently reviewed in the Globe and Mail, this new addition to the drive offer up a modern take on Indonesian cuisine.  It's a short walk from our showroom making it a great place to stop for lunch before meeting one of our designers.  Just be sure to brink us some satays!

A New Dimension in Surfacing

Whether you're considering laminate, solid surface, stone or quartz (and many others), every surface material has its own characteristics that will make it the perfect countertop for you.   The folks at Caesarstone have taken their product and added another dimension to take it from your countertop to whatever surface you can imagine.

Called Motivo™, it is the first quartz surface to use texture.  Two patterns are available:  Lace and Crocodile.  Either texture can be applied to any of the Caesarstone colours, but look best with solid whites and blacks.  Possible applications include the kitchen backsplash, fireplace surrounds and feature areas in a bar.
